As you might have noticed there has been a few changes to my site recently. The banner up top is new and fresh. Sometimes all a site needs is a new banner to freshen things up. On the Main Page I included new links to my favorite websites that I visit, and a new welcome picture. No longer will Frost flick you off =( On the sidebar —–> I added a Flickr RSS feed that shows random pictures.
The biggest change and something that I am just testing right now is that huge thing called “Eyejot“. What Eyejot does is record messages that people want to leave me via their webcam. Just a warning, my blog is currently have problems with IE6 (internet explorer 6). The whole sidebar drops down to the very bottom of the page and some features don’t work. I am working on a solution, but it’s advisable to use Firefox from now until you die. Seriously.
So this is what you do. Hit the reply button and you’ll have many options to choose from. Just be lazy if you want and hit the “Reply Anonymously” button and record a message for me. Anything you want, a simple hello, or strip tease, whatever! After you do that it converts that video and sends it to my email, and I can download and watch it. It’s a private feature that only I’m allowed to access so you don’t have to worry about other people seeing the video you leave for me. Only I have the password to access it. It’s like a answering machine, but more personal. Technology is so cool sometimes.
I want to slightly change some other things on the site, but they are minor things, like color adjustments or different fonts. Let me know what ya think about the site, or how cool and sexy I am. Record it on the Eyejot in the side bar. Back to tweakin!

Thanks for trying out the Eyejot site widget. You will want to record a greeting video so that users see that when they hit the play button instead of our default “missing video” reel. Also, we know the widget is a little wide for some sidebar designs. Some of our users have adjusted their page designs to accomodate the widget or have, in some cases, made entries that are permanently docked as the first item of their blog, which lets them have a great deal more layout real estate to work with.

Anonymous messages are optional and at the discretionary use of any Eyejot user. Most users of the embedded app appear to be running strictly in the “must login to respond” model. We struggled with the question of whether we should allow it but realized that while some abuses are possible and, perhaps, likely, the majority of sites using this functionality will experience no antisocial use.

I’m sure you’ve noticed it, but the eyejot thing is stretching the page, you’ll want to fix that. The new banner is nice. You might want to include a way to get back tot he main site (I don’t, but I don’t really use the main site.) Congratulations on removed the “Fuck Off” thing. I think you may have leveled up! Everything is looking good.

Whoa, this Eyejot thing is pretty cool. But do I wheely want Frost talking to me? Yet if I don’t click on it I feel like I’m being rude. What’s the protocol? And what if I click and get someone’s penis?

The thing with Eyejot is that if you hit play you will get a short welcome message from me. Then if you want, which would be great, is to hit the reply button and choose “reply anonymously” then using your webcam and built-in microphone you can send me a video message. That message goes to my email and only person who sees it will be me. I promise you won’t see any penises.

Thanks miltownkid! I am aware of the stretching of page. At first I didn’t notice since my widescreen monitor has a resolution of 1440×900 and it looks odd but perfect. I’ll have to read up on some CSS to fix it. There is a link on the sidebar to get back to the main page.
