I guess Leonardo da Vinci was right when he said “Art is never finished, only abandoned.” I seem to be unable to stop myself from adjusting “finished” released work. I can’t tell you how many times I have adjusted/fixed/changed the latest “Outtakes” episode since I officially released it. I’m gonna have to say about 10 times though. I thought it was perfect when I first uploaded it, but then I saw some errors, like someone was looking the wrong way, or a bottle was missing on the shelf, or the pause should of been longer for more dramatic effect, so I had to take it offline, play around and fix it and re-upload it.

Then I noticed that there was slow down and the audio didn’t sync up perfectly, and that some scenes weren’t crisp as I wanted to be. Well let me tell you, I have learned more about flash, and how to optimize it in the last 3 days then I have in the last 3 years. I joined a forum about flash that I should of when I first started, but thought it wasn’t necessary. I was wrong. But let me tell you, everything that has ever bothered me about the episodes has been fixed. Everything! I even had to delay writing this post so I can fix one more problem. I have an addiction.

On other news, I have changed the preloader a bit to include the cast, something more to look at I guess. As for announcements, I am prepared to announce that the main page will soon have a new better menu system, done all in flash(and a html version for losers) and it will include tons of easter eggs. I am also in the process of making a Taipei Days game, which can be played on the website. Now it will probably suck, but I am planning to release more than one.

After all of that is done, Season 2 of Taipei Days will begin. The new episodes will be longer, funnier, and in widescreen!

So go check out the newly updated episodes! Don’t forget to leave a comment, it encourages me to work faster and release better stuff. Taipeidays.com

Just watched the latest update of “Taipei Days” the “Outtakes”. Good job! Very funny! I like the flow and the simplicity of it. You make it seem easy. Can not wait for new episodes. I can see your frustration with getting everything right. Great artist are never satisfied with their work. One can tell you’re a Leo. You demand perfection in all you do. You are the king of your domain. “It’s good to be the king!”

Yeah, I need to get my hands on a flash creator. Anime Studio is working all right for what I’m trying to do but it isn’t the same. BTW, its going slow but it is going. My Xanga isn’t being updated as much these days, because I’m trying to save up for a meaty post.

Welcome to my world with the “never finished” BS. At least you have the courage to release something first, though.
