People have different opinions on which cola is better. I think Pepsi is better and it should be called “soda” not “pop”. I think most people will agree that I am right. Help me test out my new poll plugin and let me know how you feel.

In Australia the term “pop” and “soda” are not used at all.
Instead we call it “soft drink”.

    I don’t know why!

Hi Stephen! In the US, we also call all carbonated drinks “soft drinks”, but mainly use cola for the darker ones. At least in my family we did.
I also checked out your website. Some interesting articles. I liked the one about the water dispensing stations.

I was really craving a soda one day and I picked up a Hey Song at 7-11 to try it… disgusting. I poured about 4/5ths down the sink.

  4. Frostfox says:

Hey Song is like a messed up root beer. I am not sure why it’s still on the market. The worst soda I have ever had here was a Sprite with ginger. It didn’t last on the market long.

  5. Mark says:

Definitely Dr. Pepper. You need some better poll options.

I can help you out there, Stephen. The problem is that you haven’t seen enough of our movies and TV shows to completely brainwash you into talking like we do. Frostfox videos will help, if you give it time. The term “soft drink” is used by waiters to make you feel like a complete wuss for not ordering a “real” drink, thus running up the tab and in turn the tip.

never tried that rc cola… don’t think i’ve even seen it before.

i like hey song and the apple cider drink, but yeah i definitely miss root beer….. “what do you mean barq’s has bite?!”

  8. Frostfox says:

According to wikipedia RC Cola is international. I have never seen it here though. You can buy A&W Root Beer at select restaurants, or at Costco.

  9. andres says:

that’s a good point about costco. i haven’t gone there in ages. i need to go soon!

  10. Carrie says:

What happened to Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi and Coke Zero? I like Coke in Canada but I swear it tastes different over here. In China, I drank Pepsi. Same diff no?

  11. Frostfox says:

Diet Coke and his friends are just a knock off of the original, so I didn’t include it. Coke here probably taste different because they use high fructose corn syrup instead of cane sugar. Depends where you live in North America, you either get one or the other.

I used to only drink Pepsi (and we call it pop). But now I’m into Coke zero. But soft drinks are bad anyway, and if I’m gonna drink something bad for me, 0 calories is a bonus.
