I hope everyone got that movie joke.
For a couple of years now I have had a small bump on my wrist. Sometimes it can be tender, while other times I feel nothing. I used to joke around and tell people it was a tumor, but I sorta knew it wasn’t.
While playing doctor with myself one day I thought I would search the internet and try to find out what it really was. Turns out I was wrong and it is not a tumor but a volar wrist ganglion. So your thinking to yourself, what the hell is a volar wrist ganglion? Well, let me school you.

A ganglion is a small, harmless cyst, or sac of fluid, that sometimes develops in the wrist. Doctors don’t know exactly what causes ganglions, but a ganglion that isn’t painful and doesn’t interfere with activity. Most believe it is formed when the wrist is injured or when it has repetitive injuries. Guess I jerk off too hard.
Doctors also don’t understand exactly how ganglions form. One theory suggests that wrist ganglions are formed when connective tissue degenerates, or is damaged by wear and tear. The damaged tissue forms a weakened spot in the joint capsule–just like a weak spot on a car tire that allows the inner tube to bulge through. The joint fluid may escape through this weakened area and begin to collect in a sack, or cyst outside the joint. Over time this cyst grows larger. The joint fluid seems to move out of the wrist joint into the ganglion, but not the other way. In the end, a clear, sticky fluid fills the cyst. The fluid is a mix of chemicals normally found in the joint. More info can be found here: Hand University.
So my choices are to leave it alone, or get it removed. I guess until it starts bothering me, I’ll just leave it alone.

Remember back in the days when you were a kid? You would go to the candy store and buy tons of candy. One of the cool ones was the bubblegum/chocolate candy cigarettes. Then some stupid ass parent had a problem with it and pretty much banned that awesome candy from the US.
Well I am pleased to announce that I have found them, here, in Taiwan! I was almost so ready to welcome our new Chinese overlords to invade Taiwan, but Taiwan threw a curve ball and saved themselves. I found them at a supermarket and knew I had to have them. The ones I got were the chocolate ones, sure it doesn’t have the cool fake smoke puff made from floured sugar bubblegum ones, but nonetheless it still is awesome. With these in stock, I’m gonna have to smoke me up a few pounds.

Smoking once again, has become cool.

Working with kids has it’s good and bad moments. Everyone knows the good shit, but the bad shit sucks. One of the many bad things is getting sick.
Kids love germs. When you work with as many kids as I do, chances are that one or more will be sick at any given time. Usually I’ll get a little cold, maybe a cough or 2. This time was different. I was bad. Me being the tough guy thought I would wait it out and let it clear itself up. A lot of times this approach works, just not last time. I knew things were getting bad when about a month into the sickness which included heavy coughing, runny nose and being hot all the time, I suddenly lost the ability to smell and taste.
The weird part of it all was at the time my nose was clear and eariler in the day I could taste and smell fine, then suddenly it was gone. It happened when I was chillin drinking a glass of chocolate milk. Suddenly I was like “Hmm this chocolate milk isn’t very chocolately”. I tried smelling it and nothing. I started to get a tad nervous so I went into my room, got some cologne and sprayed it on my face….nothing. Now I knew it was time to see a doctor.
3 days later…I went to the hospital and got a check up and 5 days worth of pills. Taiwan is cheap when it comes to this kind of thing. Total cost with the doctor and medication was only $600NT or about $18US. Taiwan is also weird as they give you tons of medication to cover everything. Normally the smart doctors in the US (thats right I am calling Taiwan doctor stupid) you get 1 maybe 2 pills and your fine, here I got 8 different pills. I also had to take those pills 4 times a day. You do the math, thats like 100 or something pills a day! FUCK!
Anyways here is a picture of most of the medication that I was given.

Here is a picture of the pills I had to take daily.

BTW..This was like 2 weeks ago. I am much better now, and I can smell and taste.
